I work really well with no set plan
Tonight I wanted to take photos and so I did. No true planning or scheming took place, I set up my camera, chose an intriguing light source and just planned as I went. I know this isn’t the best way to work, it’s important to know what you’re going to put into a photo before you take it, but sometimes I stumble upon something in the middle of shooting. It’s not the first pose, or the 20th pose, but I figure out what I want along the way. I shoot, analyze my photos, change a few things, and then continue on and on and on until I think I’ve got it.
It’s a strange method, and can’t be relied on at all times, but sometimes it really works out for me.
This is usually how I approach my self portrait therapy
